Our Monthly ‘Giving Back’ Project
Every month we want to invite our community to give back to a ‘cause’. We welcome suggestions from our customers of causes that they have which we can all support.

This month we want to support the Muong Hill Tribes of Vietnam. These are one of a number of ethnic tribes that occupy the mountains of Vietnam. They live traditional lives and are supported by their Government, their culture is very strong.
We at The Fair Earth Foundation have long worked with these communities and earlier this year we helped finance a new library in one of the villages we work in. The recent flooding has devastated these communities and we have been asked to help provide £1000 to help towards the relief effort. There are three elements to our efforts: |

1. Jewellery. The jewellery was made by Moung artisans and we are auctioning a selection to raise funds. 100% will go to the relief effort. We have indicated a reasonable price but will take the best offer made during November because of the urgency of the relief effort. From 2021 we will be launching a global range of artisan craft goods on our True Fair Trade platforms as a means of helping communities stand on their own feet.

2. Teide Challenge. Every month our volunteers climb the third highest volcano in the world, on Tenerife*, as a fundraiser- The Teide Challenge. Megan will be climbing it for the Muong people on Nov 20th. Please make a donation here and in the comments say that you want your efforts going to the Muong Hill Tribe.

3. 10% of any sales through True Fair Trading in November will go to the Muong Hill people’s relief programme.
